La Trobe University has a collection of envrionmentally conscious students who are actively working toward creating a sustainable life for themselves and our community. This project has been a collaboration between a number of student organisations that share a love of food, particularly free food grown in urban spaces. La Trobe Environmental Action ForumLa Trobe Environmental Action Forum is an active student environment group
aiming to: • Raise awareness of local, national and global environmental issues on campus and in the community, providing opportunities to take positive action in relation to these at both personal and community levels. • Encourage La Trobe University Bendigo students and staff to set an environmentally-friendly example. The PatchThe Patch is La Trobe University Bendigo's very own campus garden. With a focus on food growing, composting and knowledge sharing in an open community space on campus, The Patch aims to bring students together who have an interest in vegie gardening, sustainability at home and connecting with others within their university.

It aims to foster good relations all round through social events; Advance interest in studying Planning; and Act as a formal representative of the La Trobe University Bendigo Planning student body.
